The biggest draw to this Zoo is this railroad! ... We have heard about this railroad from train friends from all over the world for years! Many train folks from overseas and from all parts of the USA include this stop in their travel plans just to see and ride this fabulous, historic 1940's custom built 36" Gauge steam and diesel railroad. It is a 40 minute round trip through the Portland rain type forest ... stops at the Portland Rose Garden too.
The Steam engine runs only on Saturdays and Sundays and one Tuesday per month ... A special discount day ... Way to crowded then ... stay away on Crazy Tuesday!
