AN OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT OBAMA

Dear President Obama:

You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike any of the others, you truly scare me.

You scare me because after months of exposure, I know nothing about you.

You scare me because I do not know how you paid for your expensive Ivy League education and your upscale lifestyle and housing with no visible signs of support.

You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of youth growing up in America and culturally you are not an American.

You scare me because you have never run a company or met a payroll.

You scare me because you have never had military experience, thus don't understand it at its core.

You scare me because you lack humility and 'class', always blaming others.

You scare me because for over half your life you have aligned yourself with radical extremists who hate America and you refuse to publicly denounce these radicals who wish to see America fail.

You scare me because you are a cheerleader for the 'blame America' crowd and deliver this message abroad.

You scare me because you want to change America to a European style country where the government sector dominates instead of the private sector.

You scare me because you want to replace our health care system with a government controlled one.

You scare me because you prefer 'wind mills' to responsibly capitalizing on our own vast oil, coal and shale reserves.

You scare me because you want to kill the American capitalist goose that lays the golden egg which provides the highest standard of living in the world.

You scare me because you have begun to use 'extortion' tactics against certain banks and corporations.

You scare me because your own political party shrinks from challenging you on your wild and irresponsible spending proposals.

You scare me because you will not openly listen to or even consider opposing points of view from intelligent people.

You scare me because you falsely believe that you are both omnipotent and omniscient.

You scare me because the media gives you a free pass on everything you do.

You scare me because you demonize and want to silence the Limbaughs, Hannitys, O'Relllys and Becks who offer opposing, conservative points of view.

You scare me because you prefer controlling over governing.

Finally, you scare me because if you serve a second term I will probably not feel safe in writing a similar letter in 8 years.

Note: Lou Pritchett is a former vice president of Procter & Gamble whose career at that company spanned 36 years before his retirement in 1989, and he is the author of the 1995 business book, Stop Paddling & Start Rocking the Boat.

Mr. Pritchett confirmed that he was indeed the author of the much-circulated "open letter." “I did write the 'you scare me' letter. I sent it to the NY Times but they never acknowledged or published it. However, it hit the internet and according to the ‘experts’ has had over 500,000 hits.

On this, our most tragic day in these United States of America we must pull together as a nation and as a world! .... Forget our petty lawsuits and inconveniences that we fault each other for every day. We must put things into perspective and realize that all our lives and our very existence as a nation (as we have known it) are at great risk. All countries that harbor any type of terrorists are as bad as those Terrorists themselves! They must now choose which side they are on ... terrorists or most of the rest of the world, They must suffer the consequences as terrorists themselves! Terrorists of all persuasions must be wiped out in a new and never ending war. We must make our country and help our world to be a safer place to live for all. THERE CAN ONLY BE PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH AND UNITY! The entire civilized world can finally see there is no reasoning with these COWARDS and suicidal maniacs! The Mad Dogs of this world!

Our condolences, deepest sympathies and prayers to all the families and victims of this senseless, worse than barbaric, and insane act of mass civilian murder at it's highest level!

Also, Much thanks to all the rescue personnel involved throughout our country, past, present and future. And those victims and families as well, Fireman, Police, etc. And Please not let us forget the passengers (Heros) like Jeremy Glick, Tod Beamer, etc. that knew they were doomed and crashed the one plane that didn't fulfill it's mission and would have destroyed the White House! Close to home! .. Yesterday, Friday April 25, 2003, one of our local heros, Ray Lasano was killed fighting these very taliban in Afghanistan! He and his wife Sarah were very close friends of Rick and Patti Bosetti. Patti was one of our dental hygienists.

Dave & Becky,
I know that Patti has talked about the little girl (Sarah) whose husband was sent to Afghanistan and she moved back into our neighborhood. She spent Easter with us and Patti and I had hidden eggs for her 2 year old (daughter Alorah) on Easter morning. Her husband was killed in action Friday. he was one of the Special Ops soldiers who were in the fight with the Taliban. Here is the story in the paper. It really hurts when the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom hits so close to home. We need to be thankful and appreciative that men like Ray Losano have given their lives for us. Please keep her in your prayers.

I, "Doc" Hemp was an active duty Air Force Captain and our son Kevin was a Special Forces Marine with General Boomer in Desert Storm. My Uncle Herb Hemp was killed in WWII as a B 25 Mitchell pilot during his 2nd tour of duty in the China Theater. My Dad too served in the Army Air Corps as a pilot.
