Colorado's Vintage Railways
Today we rode on the Royal Gorge DIESEL Railroad where we went 1000' below the
world famous Royal Gorge suspension Bridge. We traveled along the Arkansas river
loaded with white water rafters. We upgraded to the dome car also .. it is well
worth it ... had a great breakfast & lunch there we ordered.
This ranks
as our 4th most favorite railroad so far.
I was very fortunate to get the photo of the mamma Black Bear with her cub. I
was standing on the observation car and spotted them and pointed them out to the
others on the car. I had only a split second to snap this one. We were about
10 minutes out from the station on the way back when I spotted them.
