California Dreamin
(This site & CA sunshine donated to Doc Mike by "Doc" & Becky Hemp)

Dear group,
I am proud to announce that with the help of Akihiko Murazumi from Japan, I am the second man in the world who has created a virtual model of a full arch (frasaco model). Took more than 20 OIs and about one hour processing time, so only do this during the lunch break...
Best regards
Mike Birkhoff

"During the first days of June 2003, 17 dentists from 7 different countries and 4 continents met in a secret place deep in the heart of Germany to learn all the tricks about the new 3D software!"

There are many many photos on this page! .... If you don't have at least DSL .. Start the down load ... Go change the water in your milling machine, have a few beers ... It will then be as loaded as you are!

Betreff: Re: [cerec] of course we did it!

To Dr. Mike and the Cerec Group,

I just wanted to send this message to say on behalf of my wife (Dr. Yen) and myself thanks to all involved with the 3D class for a great weekend. I enjoyed meeting everyone form across the globe, and Mike, as Shurlang is originally from Taiwan, I believe it is fair to say that it rightly is 4 continents and 8 different countries! All present could not be more dedicated to:
    1. Providing excellent care to their patients, and
    2. Enthusiastically spreading the word about Cerec while attempting to learn all that is possible to know about the machine. Mike, Dirk, and Mike, you all had excellent presentations. Special thanks to Mike H. for all of the extra time given in machine-side instruction and to Mike B. for letting us look over his shoulder while treating his patients.

I never would have envisioned my first trip down the German Autobahn to have been in a red 1959 Cadillac convertible!!! But, Mike, thanks for the tour of the Rhineland. You are a great guide to all of the castles. Are you sure there was never a Schloss Birkhoff? Among other firsts, I will remember my first glass of Alt beer (or make it my first three glasses!) over brochwurst and sourcrout. Also, my first taste of white Spargel over a wide ranging discussion of the state of Germany and of the world with Dr. Dirk at whose knowledge I still marvel. I also lost count of all of the numerous 15 to 20 character words used in the German language--it must be most difficult to play scrabble over there.

To sum up, though, we could not have had a better meeting. The setting was so relaxed at a quaint country inn with good food and drink, and Dr. Mike, you and Bridgett were so kind to open your home to us. We love Germany and its people and will return to visit again. I'm sure we will all agree that any country in which you can order beer at McDonalds has to be doing a few things right!

    Auf Wiedersehen,

    Russ
