Steam Engines Doubled Up Testing Bridge & Switch

ZERO Deflection in the 3" crown we built into this all Steel Warren Truss Bridge. An electric, steam double header. With our long flat car attached we would have about an 80' train now.

The working drivers on our steam locomotive are 16" in diameter as they will be also on our new Forney engine under construction.

This switch, approach and railroad bridge took me (with a lot of help from Dave Moeller) 1.5 years to build ourselves .... The rest of the loop back into the main line will now be a piece of cake! The abutments that Dave & I designed were built in one week with the help of our very fine carpenters Bryan Taylor and Bill that we also used to build our train shed/tunnel. We employ Bryan on all our other non railroad projects too.
Also our station, water tower, caboose and passenger car were built by Jay Snavely and Jerry Nash.
